National Nurses Week is traditionally celebrated from May 6 through May 12 every year. However, this year the celebration has evolved into a month-long observance to recognize the positive impact that nurses have had on healthcare across the U.S.

National Nurses Month observes weekly themes to focus on areas that are vital to the role that nurses fulfill.

  • Week 1: Self-Care
  • Week 2: Recognition
  • Week 3: Professional Development
  • Week 4: Community Engagement

Nurses are examples of sacrifice and service. Nurses go beyond the call of duty to make a difference in the lives of others. Even when tired, stressed and overwhelmed they continue to provide great care. Thank you to all the nurses across the nation for your kindness and healing touch. Nurses Rock!
